THANK YOU all to who participated! This years match was very successful!!  We had 234 shooters signed up and 230 participated.  No one got injured, except for a couple of Safety Officers were suffering from a little sunstroke.   They have recovered nicely.

The range was new and SANDY, to say the least.  We did not realize this would be a desert, because we had never used the newest bays.   I wish that there was something that could've been done, to keep the dust down, so for that I apologize.   The heat did not help anything, but I still think that it was better than a monsoon rain for 2 1/2 days... unfortunately the weather cannot be controlled by humans.

We also tried the sport water bottles this year to try to cut down on the amount of wasted store bought ones.   They had both advantages and disadvantages, it was nice to have the water buffalo from the National Guard there, however, we realize it was a little walk to it at times depending on which bay you were in.  We realized after, we should have had the igloo coolers in different locations and filled them up from the buffalo, so you would not have to walk to so far, again, we apologize.   Hind sight is always 20/20, but another lesson learned for the future.

Thank you to the Safety Officers that had very few, if any, breaks all weekend.   This is a brutal job, especially this weekend.  I hope everyone of you got a chance to thank them.   I will always believe our safety officers and staff are the backbone of IDPA, and we truely appreciate their efforts!

Many penalties were given over the course of the match.  Apparently it was tougher than I expected.   436 Failure to Neutralize, 192 Procedurals, 102 Non-threat injured, 0 FTDR.

The score shack did an awesome job with getting those scores quickly.   Thanks Dick Lichon and Barb Reeves for getting the scores out so quickly after last shots were fired.   Thanks also to the score, snacks and water runners all weekend, they were Tamara Tiethoff, Tiffany Wedge, Nancy King, Christine Rivers.  

Please let me know of any comments that you might have. Good, bad or ugly.  Criticism makes a better match.

The COF's are available above, many have expressed interest in having them.   We opted for no COF's in the match booklet because we didn't know if anyone really looked at them.   The second reason for not posting the COF's was to honor the spirit on IDPA.   There aren't any setting up the stages, and rehearsing them in the real world.   Hope that you were ok with the decision.

I'm not sure where next years MI State match will be, but I will keep the email list and the next, and last message, you get from me will be about the 2011 Michigan State Match.
